(Some of the speakers mentioned in the following stories may be discontinued.)

“My friends and relatives, and myself included, could not believe how a speaker, so slim and slender, could produce such hard hitting, quality, low-end bass.”

My love for Definitive speakers hit me like a fresh relationship in the springtime. Totally unexpected, and exhilarating at the same time.

I always caught myself reading the advertisements in magazines, but, year after year, I'd put it in the back of my mind and tried not to awaken those thoughts. Partly due to the fact that I never thought about spending decent amounts of money on high-end gear. And also, I felt like I'd be cheating on JBL.

The day came when I picked up my first Pioneer Elite DVD player at AudioCraft, the local Hi-Fi shop. I saw the looming towers and fell in love. I asked to listen to them and was blown away by the bass emitted by them. They were the BP3000TLs.

The idea of a subwoofer in the towers is impressive. But, personally, I didn't want to worry about an outlet for all speakers, and then learned they had the non-powered tower series.

I did some research, read reviews, sent out emails, and felt I was making the right move. The store only carries the Power Tower series so I had to special order them. I chose the BP30s for mains, and you have on your hands THE happiest customer on the planet!

My friends and relatives, and myself included, could not believe how a speaker, so slim and slender, could produce such hard hitting, quality, low-end bass. I didn't have the PF15TL+ yet, so I know it wasn't a sub. And to top it off, the mids and highs just rolled off so smoothly that I was in pure audio heaven.

I have been in this "Audio Heaven" for 2 years now, and I am happier now then ever. I have the C/L/R2000 pulling center channel duties, and BPX for surrounds. As I mentioned earlier, the PF15TL+ filled in for the LFE channel and what I experience in my home theater cannot be described by mere mortal words. I no longer need to tell people what to buy. They sit, listen, and their jaw hits the floor. I let the speakers do the work for me. Not many speakers can do that: convince an enthusiast within seconds. Even my friends who thought I was insane for spending this much now own Def Techs, and they still thank me! It is my turn to thank you.

You have a company that not only puts out products that can't be matched in price or performance, but you honestly care about your customers. You are the epitome of what all speaker companies should strive to be. I honestly mean that. I will, for the rest of my life, purchase only Definitive speakers and subwoofers. This you can count on. :)

*Note* I am buying the SuperCube I soon, as well as adding another pair of BPXs to go with my new Elite 7.1 receiver. What you have accomplished with the new SuperCubes is astonishing, to say the least. Keep it up! Keep winning those Awards, and keep winning the hearts of millions of Audiophiles across the world! Happy Listening!

"These speakers will not let you down. They just get better and better."

I purchased my BP8Bs in 1999. I originally had them matched to my old Sony receiver with plain "lampcord" style speaker cables, regular interconnects, etc. The BP8s sounded great at that point. The past year I've upgraded my system to an Acurus A250 amplifier, Adcom pre-amp, straightwire interconnects, and monster ZR-1 reference cables (they're about 1/2-inch thick). Every upgrade to my system has been reflected by the BP8Bs. They've allowed all the detail and power of the music being played through my system to shine through. These speakers sound wonderful with regular consumer electronics. But if you have a hankering to move up into separates, quality amplification, interconnects, etc., these speakers will not let you down. They just get better and better. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Thanks!

“The BP10Bs sounded awesome and these [BP7002s] WOW!!!”

I have had a pair of BP10Bs for about nine months now. I went to a local Hi Fi shop today to listen to the BP7002s, just to see what they were like. Definitive makes the most amazing speakers on earth!! I can't believe what these sound like. The BP10Bs sounded awesome and these WOW!!! Now if my wife doesn't send me divorce papers when she sees that I purchased these, I will be in awe for a long time to come. If you come out with something that beats these, I'll need a place to live and set them up! Thanks for the producing the BEST speakers at an affordable price.

“No other speaker design can produce the 3D sound 'image' that the Definitive bipolar design can produce.”

It was a while back, I think it was 1992 or '93. I went to several electronics stores looking for high-end audio products. I saw Cerwin-Vega, Boston Acoustics, Bose and several other brands. I listened, took notes, and read the reviews.

The only place in town that sold the truly quality equipment was a place called Bjorn's. What I found there was a selection of equipment that would make any audiophile grin. I was actually looking for a good quality receiver at the time, and I found that a Sony ES series was moderately priced and met my needs. The strangest thing I noticed was that in each sound room they always seemed to use an "off-brand" speaker for demonstration purposes. In this room full of very expensive speaker systems, including all the big names, and several different designs, they had these strange rectangular speakers attached to receivers and amplifiers costing thousands of dollars. And they were sitting sideways? I asked why they had chosen to use the cheapest speakers to demo the top-of-the-line equipment. Why not use more expensive speakers? After the saleperson switched to a more expensive speaker system, I learned why. The sound was actually better from the strange looking sideways speakers with a price HALF THAT of most of the systems in the room.

The speakers I heard that day were Definitive's BP20s. I brought them home that day, and they are still the best investment I ever made. I know the BP20s are no longer in production... I can't imagine better sound than what the 20s can produce, but I'm an open minded person.

The biggest difference I noted with Definitive speakers was the bipolar design. In the few months after purchasing my BP20s, I noticed several other manufacturers producing systems attempting to duplicate the bipolar design. No other speaker design can produce the 3D sound "image" that the Definitive bipolar design can produce. The shape of the speakers is also unusual and some people still ask what the "big black things" are. When they find out, they want to hear them. When they hear them, they are truly amazed, as I still am, 10 years after the purchase!

When I hear people at work talking about audio equipment and they start dropping the "big names," I mention Definitive Technology. When they ask me about the best speakers made, I say Definitive Technology. I don't even look at other brands anymore. I requested some literature on the BP30, and the 2000 and 3000 series systems. If these systems are the updated versions of my BP20s, they are probably the best speakers available. The fact that Definitive products are still reasonably priced makes it easy to choose Definitive products.

“DOUBLE WOW and DOUBLE AWESOME! I would never have a problem recommending any of these speakers!”

Have been very involved in Home Theater for close to 10 years now. While visiting a local Listening Post audio store, I heard the Definitive Tech's for the very first time. WOW! Purchased two BP8s as my front mains, a C1 center channel and two BP6s as my surrounds. The surround sound was awesome! Fellow employees (I am a middle school teacher) who came to visit could not believe what they were hearing. I had to arrange home theater parties on weekends so they could experience this new-found thrill for themselves.

I needed to have the DTS, DTS EX, new Digital Cable input, Pro Logic 2, and the two new kids on the block: DVD-Audio and SACD. I purchased the Pioneer Elite 45A Video/Audio/SACD Player which plays BOTH of the new music formats. But the big upgrade was the new DENON AVR3803! It would now support 7.1 Channels, and all the formats listed above. So I revamped the speaker system: the original BP8s are still in front; the C1 center in use also, 2 NEW BP8s for the back surround, and I moved the older BP6s to the front area as "front effects" and added two NEW BP2Xs as the new side surrounds that the DENON 7.1 configuaration permits. (My latest purchases were made at Pat's Stereo Shop in Greensburg, PA. My local Listening Post closed several years ago.)

DOUBLE WOW and DOUBLE AWESOME!

I have been to some of the new surround theaters, and in high-end listening rooms in stereo stores, and NOTHING else comes close, including the various Polk speakers they compare side by side. Thanks for such WONDERFUL products!

I would never have a problem recommending any of these speakers, as I quite frequently do. A number of people in my school district refer to me as "The Home Theater Specialist."

"Nothing comes close."

I have owned a pair of BP8s for five years now. They still sound as good as when I first brought them home, maybe better. I still stop at Audio Stores to check out new speakers, but nothing comes close unless other Definitives are sold there.

"I am glad I finally found a speaker that I am happy with."

Well, all I can say about my BP10s or the BP2000s is this: "I will more than likely never purchase another speaker, EVER. PERIOD." Wait, that's not entirely true, I'll probably purchase the BP3000s. I would go into detail but I'd run out of room. Thanks for making such a nice speaker, I was tired of shopping. I am glad I finally found a speaker that I am happy with.

"My friends paid more for their speakers and they're amazed at the beauty and better performance of my 2002 system!"

Hello there! I have the 2002 system matched with a Yamaha 2092 receiver setup in my theater room and a pair of BP10s in the game room. My friends have other high-end speakers matched with the same receiver. My friends paid more for their speakers and they're amazed at the beauty and better performance of my 2002 system! DT, thanks for making me look good! I'm off to give them another demo!

"I'm one HAPPY CAMPER."

I have owned Definitive Technology speakers ever since they came out. My original configuration consisted of the BP20s L/R main, C/L/R1000 center, BP2s for the rear, and a Powerfield15 subwoofer. Recently I have upgraded my system with a Parasound Amp (2205), Parasound AVC- 2500, and my rears to the BP10s.

I have always been in awe and sheer amazement of the sonic capabilities of the Definitive speakers, especially at the very low end. Since my recent upgrade of the BP10s, I am utterly floored by the sonic overall improvement. It was very good before, now it is just downright phenomenal.

Through the years I have always received first rate customer service. Put that together with exceptional product/value, and I'm one HAPPY CAMPER. My hat's off to the people at Definitive. You're the best in the business! I would also like to note that the combination of the Parasound components with your products is an unbeatable combination at any PRICE! Keep it up.

"But when it comes to total quality of sound, nothing beats Definitive."

The first Definitive Speakers I ever heard were a pair of BP2000s. The awesome clarity and the thundering bass really impressed me and opened up a vision of sound for me.

In the past, I have heard all common name brands like B&W JBL, Parasound, Audio Jamo and so many others that have impressed me in terms of quality of sound. But when it comes to total quality of sound, nothing beats Definitive.

Right now I am using a pair of BP10s as fronts, a ProCenterC2 as center, a BPX as the surround, and most importantly a PF18TL as a sub. Both in music and in movies, these speakers present an outstanding combination of high quality sound and really shake the room with the monstrous but tight bass of the PF18. As far as hi-fi sound is concerned, Definitive speakers are perfection in clarity. Since owning my Definitives, I have arranged numerous speaker systems of this brand for all my friends' home theaters. All of them are thrilled with the sound. Kudos to the makers of such excellent speakers.

"It's the best sounding system I've ever heard."

I told a friend I just ordered a new Bose surround sound system and he told me to cancel the order. My friend showed me a recent side by side review of Bose vs. Definitive speakers in Home Theater Magazine. Definitive won hands down. I cancelled my order and bought the best system I've ever owned: Definitive's Bipolar Towers, Center Channel (all with subwoofers) and rear channel speakers.

It's the best sounding system I've ever heard. Get this, one of my other friends called me tonight to tell me he's thinking of buying a $2,500 system and wanted my advice. You know what I told him. Anyway, he's coming over to check out my system and will buy a Definitive system.

"Even if you live 300 miles from your nearest dealer, you should make the trip."

I ordered a set of BP8s without ever listening to them after reading fantastic review upon review in every magazine I picked up. I have never been so thrilled with a set of speakers. I have since added BP2Xs and a PF15TL. I am now in the process of updating my center with a C/L/R 2500.

Some of my friends and relatives have also purchased Definitive Technology systems of their own after hearing mine. Even if you live 300 miles from your nearest dealer, you should make the trip and at least hear the best speaker systems ever made. One of my uncles drove over 500 miles to get his!

"You could spend thousands more, but why would you?"

Most all of the customer reviews dealt with home theater applications. But I bought my BP30s two years ago for music listening only, and they continue to amaze me. Driven by my beloved old McIntosh amp and preamp, they fill up my large living room with such warm sound. From the lowest levels to windowpane rattling volumes, they are superb. You could spend thousands more, but why would you? Bipolar rules!

"You won't be sorry."

I auditioned everything with a Sony DA30 ES receiver and initially started out with a pair of BP6s and a PF-12 powered sub. I chose the BP6s over the BP8s to start out with because of the BP6s stunning midrange performance, and the PF-12 for the outstanding dynamic range of 12" subwoofers. Listening to music was a much more enjoyable experience then ever before, not to mention the added excitement with movies.

Then I added the C/L/R 2002 along with a set of BP2002TLs to replace the front speakers and put the BP6s and PF-12 in the rear for surrounds. I had been waiting for a while to upgrade my mains and purchase a center, and I could not ask for more. The staging is incredible, you feel like you are at a concert in parts of some movies. There is so much depth and warmth compared to many other speakers I have auditioned. I really enjoy the D'Appolito array and how it blends the high and mid-range frequencies into listening bliss. I've turned many of my friends on to the Definitive line of loudspeakers, and they are equally impressed.

I work for a mobile DJ company that uses top of the line Bose equipment, and Definitive was the only other line of speakers that produced the kind of sound I was searching for. For those of you who don't already own Definitive speakers or are looking to upgrade, I strongly urge you to make the change, you won't be sorry.

"My decision was not difficult after listening to the Definitives."

I recently purchased the starter pieces for my first component system. At 46 years old and with a lifelong passion for music, this was a large event for me. I bought a receiver, DVD/CD player and was then ready to look at floor speakers. I was at a fine audio store in Minnesota and the salesman took me throughout the 3 sound rooms... lots of nice speakers. My decision was not difficult after listening to the Definitives. I bought a pair of BP10Bs, and am thrilled with my choice.

The sound is pure, distinctive and full. I am anxious to buy a pair of Definitive surround speakers, as soon as I sell my next photograph (I am a fine art and freelance photographer and seasonal employee with the National Park Service). Though finances thin out in the winter in Montana adding surrounds to accompany the already phenomenal sound from 2 floor speakers is high on my purchase priority list. It's all too beautiful.

"I'm a DEFINITIVE fan forever!"

I have owned Definitive speakers now for about two years and am more and more impressed by them everyday. I use them almost every single day; I call it more like ABUSE them every day. I had some expensive speakers in the past but blew them out fairly quickly. I kind of lost my faith in high-end expensive speakers for awhile, until I discovered DEFINITIVES. When I first got them I was nervous about whether they would blow out, but they just keep on pumping out movies and music. I really will never own another brand of speakers. These speakers with DVD-AUDIO are so amazing. Another great feature with these speakers is that DVD-AUDIO wasn't even close to being around when I bought them but they handle it so well. Thank You. I'm a DEFINITIVE fan forever!

"Who can resist speakers that bring out every nuance in Holly Cole's singing?"

We were about to buy Phase Technology Teatro 11.5 speakers, which are very good, when we took a look at your website. So well organized, and with prices listed and a clear list of dealers. Off we went to Sound Central in St. Louis, heard your speakers, and we are now convinced that Phase Technology has the second-best speakers on the market. (Some might argue that we bought our Definitive speakers because the salesman played a Holly Cole CD, and who can resist speakers that bring out every nuance in Holly Cole's singing?)

"Putting Definitive speakers head to head with other manufacturers' speakers just simply isn't fair, Definitive will win EVERY TIME!"

I have a pair of the BP10Bs for front channels, the C1000B for center channel, and a pair of the BP2Xs for surrounds. I also have 2 PF15TL+ subs. That's right, two of them! Words cannot describe the performance of such a high-octane system, never mind that at these prices I feel like I stole them. There is no doubt that Definitive loudspeakers are the best price/performance speakers available. Putting Definitive speakers head to head with other manufacturers' speakers just simply isn't fair, Definitive will win EVERY TIME! I bought my Definitive BP6B loudspeakers from a dealer awhile ago. When I first saw them, I thought they were very strangely presented. Upon hearing them, I realized that not only did they look strange, they sounded strange. Strange being very neutral and realistic! "The moment I hooked them up to my amp I fell in love with the way they sounded."

I picked up a set of BP1s from a friend at work. The moment I hooked them up to my amp, Kenwood M2, I fell in love with the way they sounded. They made my long narrow living room seem much wider. I was using these small speakers with a cheaper 10" 100w Cerwin sub. After I got a new receiver I had to go out and get the BP6s and a C-1 center. I moved my BP1s to the back and now my DVDs rock. I get a lot more separation and I love it. I look forward to changing out the Cerwin sub with a Definitive sub to finish it off.

"In my opinion these are the best speakers produced today regardless of price."

No real story except that most of the time when listening it sounds like someone is on my front deck, I actually have to check sometimes. For me, they cost a lot of money but, in my opinion, these are the best speakers produced today regardless of price. The depth and sonic experience is very enjoyable every time that I turn them on. "I haven't heard better speakers for anything less than five times the price."

I've had my BP30s for about two years now, and I can honestly say that they're the best part of my home theater (more so than my Vega XBR television). Of all the things I've bought, they are the only things I have no qualms about. They are beautifully clean and clear. They even have great bass (not something I expected when I bought them). As it turns out, they play lower than my 200 watt Klipsch sub. To this day, I wish I had bought a Definitive sub instead. Their speaker quality is by far the best and the value is outstanding. I haven't heard better speakers for anything less than five times the price.

"Bipolar sound is 'indescribably delicious.'"

Having been an audio enthusiast for over thirty years, and now with the inception of Home Theater, and given the chance to "finally do it right," I was presented the opportunity to replace every piece of my entire stereo system. Aside from the receiver, the most critical components are, of course, the speakers.

When I set out on my venture to find what was the best (within certain criteria) for me, I put aside brand names, cost, etc. All I was concerned with was the sound. After all, that's what it is all about, isn't it? I listened to anything and everything with no prejudice. I wanted to hear everything that I feasibly could. It didn't take long to narrow the field down. With only two or three brands in the final running, it didn't take long then, either, to decide. Like I said, it's in the sound — and there was one that I found clearly superior over all the rest (trust me, there were some very high-end, high-priced heavy weights in there). Needless to say, the Definitives were phenomenal, regardless of price (even though I firmly believe they blew away many high-priced alternatives).

Audio and THX DD DVD has never, ever sounded better. I'll swear I've one of the best sounding theaters in the Denver area — bar none! I love my Definitives — the BP10s, the C/L/R1000 and the PF15TL (and soon DT's for the surrounds) are absolutely incredible. The bipolar sound is "indescribably delicious." Thanks DefTech. You are to be commended with the utmost praise.

"Big Ups to Definitive Technology."

I thought I was going to buy the Mirage OM-10s, but they no longer interested me after I heard Definitive's BP10Bs. To me, the Definitives were clearly precise and had a cleaner thump. Besides, the salesman at H.E. would not let me pump up the volume on the Mirage. The Home Theatre Store not only let me listen to the speakers the way I use them, they let me put them on layaway. Next project is to purchase the matching center channel and surrounds. Big Ups to Definitive Technology.

"The neighbors get to feel my joy."

I am a proud owner of the BP2002, Center 2002, Rear BP8. I am a musician, a drummer, and I still can't get used to the realistic sound that comes from these speakers. The subs just keep me smiling. When the 5.1 mode is active for our DVD movies, the wife then understands the investment and the importance of top shelf equipment. My list of music is as versatile as your speakers. The only flaw is that the neighbors get to feel my joy. I guess my next Definitive investment will be our house (detached). Then the gloves come off! Thanks for the sounds and the designs.

"These speakers are the true definition of quality."

My story starts out with a basic home theater consisting of a Hitachi 50" projection television and some basic stereo equipment (Sony fronts). I then got into DVD when it first came out and got a DVD-ready receiver and some small JBL bookshelf speakers. I designed my own passive subwoofer and powered it with my previous amp for the time being. It all sounded very good, until I heard the Definitive Technology speaker setup.

I made a pretty big leap from the Technics receiver and bookshelf speakers to the BP8 Bipolar front speakers and a Pioneer "Elite" series THX, DTS, Dolby Digital, receiver. The rear speakers were upgraded to a much higher-end JBL speaker, as was the center. This happened before the Definitive upgrade.

I am now testing out the PF15TL 15" Subwoofer and it sounds amazing; what a difference. The other speaker upgrades to Definitive will happen in time also. It is hard to explain, but if you are a Home Theater buff and won't settle for anything but the best, make the investment the first time around so you don't have to upgrade. These speakers are the true definition of quality.

"Movies just come alive!"

Recently, I purchased a pair of BP30s for my front speakers, a C/L/R 2002 for my center channel speaker, a pair of BPXs for my rear surrounds, and a PF18 subwoofer. This is by far the most awesome sounding system I have ever heard. It actually shakes my den floor! I listen to a lot of pipe organ CDs and I can tell you that the sound is lifelike. "They are just stunning."

It seems like I can't help buying more Definitive speakers. A few years ago I wandered into my local sound shop looking for speakers with better imaging and sound stage. The manager said "You've got to listen to..." and I wound up buying a pair of BP10s. That was the beginning. Since then I've bought BP6s, BP8s and, most recently, a ProSub 200 — all as presents. Two pairs have been pre-owned and they sounded great even after a couple years' use. The other day I heard someone auditioning BP2002s and know I will eventually wind up buying a pair of them, too. They are just stunning.
