"To hear this performance for yourself, I'd recommend going to your local Definitive Dealer for a demo."

I upgraded my speakers from Bose to the Definitive Technology BP2000TLs and I was pleasantly surprised with their performance. I set the bass & treble controls to a flat setting and I still heard thunderous bass. I played JURASSIC PARK II with my DTS receiver and I was more impressed with their excellent performance. This is the speaker that I was looking for. To hear this performance for yourself, I'd recommend going to your local Definitive Dealer for a demo. Thanks Definitive Technology.

"I was sold on them in one listen."

Well, I had no intention of buying new speakers when I went into this audio and video store. I went in casually and asked I what he recommended for replacing my old Bose AM5II speakers. He first showed me the Klipsch, then showed me the Monitor Audio. Finally he says: "Take a look at these." I said, "That's too big." He said, "Just listen and tell me what you think."

Anyhow to make the long story short. I was sold on them in one listen. First I listened to the BP2004s. Although they were great, I bought the BP2002TLs. One phrase to sum this all up is: mind blowing performance. Keep it up Definitive!

"I love the impact of the built-in subs."

I first read about the BP2000 setup in the Nov 95 edition of "Curtco's Guide to Home Theatre" while stationed in Australia. Since I value their opinion, I decided to try these speakers if given the opportunity. I returned to the states shortly afterwards and sure enough, there was an audio store in Montana that had them.

After one audition, I knew these were the home theatre speakers for me. I bought a set of the BP2000s, a C/L/R 2000, and a pair of BPXs. I love the impact of the built-in subs. In fact, when I first hooked them up, the glassware in my kitchen rattled so much I knew these bad boys meant business. I love the versatility of providing multiple amps (if the occasion arises) as well as the overall build (not to mention sound) quality too. I've been living with these speakers for over 3 years now and doubt if I'll ever have to buy another set. Thanks Definitive!

"There is nothing that matches the performance of Definitive Technology speakers."

I utilize all Definitive Technology speakers in my bedroom based Home Theater. Mains: BP2000s, Center: C/L/R 3000, Rear Sounds: 2 pr. BPVXs, LFE: 2 pr. PF18TLs. When it comes to HT there is nothing that matches the performance of Definitive Technology speakers.

"Best money I have ever spent in my life."

I was saddened to discover that my local dealer in Houston had been bought out and was no longer going to be carrying Definitive Technology speakers, instead carrying Mirage. I stopped by to visit my local sales rep and for the first time had the opportunity to compare the Mirage and Definitives side by side. Wow, what an amazing difference. While the Mirage OM-6s sounded nice, turning on the BP3000 completely blew them out of the water. Then I found out the BP3000TLs were the last ones in stock and if I wanted a pair the closest dealer would be in Austin or San Antonio. After a bit of discussion with the loved one I finally bought them. There is no way to describe how unbelievably powerful and clean they are. I hooked them up to the B channel of my amp and did a comparison of my new beloved BP3000TLs to my 10-year-old Mordaunt Shorts. The BP3000TLs are so efficient that I have to turn down the volume on my stereo since they are twice as loud. Best money I have ever spent in my life. Thank you so much for making such a quality product. BTW, my friend who spent WAY too much on a pair of B&W Nautilus is insanely jealous. Hehehehe.

"Never in my life have I experienced such pulse pounding sound."

I recently purchased a pair of Definitive Technology BP3000TLs and the matching C/L/R 3000. I auditioned them three times with a Denon AVR-5700 before purchasing. Never in my life have I experienced such pulse pounding sound. These bad boys are so overpowering they are damn near immune to room placement effects, present a huge sound stage, and the 18" subs shake the mortar out of the bricks in the house. I wasn't convinced that the sub in the C/L/R would make much of a difference until I ran THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER. James Earl Jones on the C/L/R was downright amazing. I quickly switched to my STAR WARS laser disc to get more!

"Even my wife admits to being staggered!"

I knew NOTHING about the Definitive product when I went to the "last" dealer on my research list. I was gravitating towards Bose 901s. I had heard about Klipsch and listened to a myriad of others including B&W. I introduced myself to a Sales Rep (whom I had never met). I explained my listening preferences and what products I had listened to. He brought me upstairs... and the rest is history.

The initial purchase was the BP2004 towers. One week later I bought the BPX rears. Today the C/L/R 3000. Personally, I have never been so "taken" with any audio equipment. The Definitive product line is incomparable. From my 74-year-old father, to my teenage sons: "Simply remarkable." Even my wife admits to being staggered! (That is the ultimate endorsement!)

"I will not rest until I own these."

I do not yet own any Definitive speakers, but in several visits to my local dealer for auditioning, I know that these speakers (The BP3000TLs) are the ones for me. I will not rest until I own these (I am currently in a deep financial hole), as well as also buying your matching surround and center channel speakers. Definitive Technology is definitely the leader in Home Theater performance.

"Totally satisfied with my BPs AND my girlfriend."

I bought a pair of BP2000s about a year after their initial introduction. At the time I paid more for them than the car that I was driving (on it's last leg). Everybody gave me a hard time about it except my girlfriend, who said: "If they make you happy then it's worth it." Needless to say, I am above and beyond happy. Totally satisfied with my BPs AND my girlfriend and wouldn't trade either for anything!

"The neighbors get to feel my joy."

I am a proud owner of the BP2002, Center 2002, Rear BP8. I am a musician, a drummer, and I still can't get used to the realistic sound that comes from these speakers. The subs just keep me smiling. When the 5.1 mode is active for our DVD movies, the wife then understands the investment and the importance of top shelf equipment. My list of music is as versatile as your speakers. The only flaw is that the neighbors get to feel my joy. I guess my next Definitive investment will be our house (detached). Then the gloves come off! Thanks for the sounds and the designs.

"The only speakers I will ever have from now on will be Definitive Technology."

I have had many different speaker systems in the 30-plus years I have been a Hi-Fi enthusiast. I have enjoyed none more than my DTs. I purchased a set of the BP2000s, a C/L/R 2000, and a pair of BPXs. I have them hooked to a Yamaha DSP A3090 Dolby Digital Amp. This Amp has split line level outputs to hook up two Subwoofers. When I play a DVD on my Pioneer DVL-90 player, I get the BEST BASS I have ever had at home. The full range sound is as close to being at a state-of-the-art theater as you can get at home. They are also super for playing all types of music, too. The only speakers I will ever have from now on will be Definitive Technology.

"These are easily the best speakers I have ever heard."

I recently purchased a pair of BP3000TL speakers and I immediately set them up in my home. I can honestly say I was stunned. These are easily the best speakers I have ever heard, and I have tried dozens of speakers that are considered high-end. None of them compare to Definitive Technology's BP3000TL speakers in terms of performance or value. Thank you Definitive Technology for making these speakers. I LOVE THEM!

"The Definitives were clearly superior in every way."

I have the BP2000s, the C/L/R2000, the BPXs and the PF1500. Each time I audition my system for any visitor to my home, they rave about the fantastic sound of the Definitive Speakers. My best friend bought Infinity's best set-up at the same time and for about the same price. The first time he came over and I cranked up the Definitives, he got suspiciously ill and had to leave suddenly. It wasn't until several days later that he admitted he was extremely jealous of how fantastic my new system sounded. We have the same receiver driving our respective systems (the Denon AVR 5700). After visiting him to compare, I had to admit I understood his reason for being upset — the Definitives were clearly superior in every way! Thanks for making such a great product. I have to admit I enjoyed having your flagship system... now that the BP3000s are here, is there anyway I can trade up? I'm desperate to once again own the latest and greatest that you offer. Thanks Definitive.

"Definitive speakers do NOT disappoint!"

Well, what can I say? I LOOOVVVEE my Definitive Technology BP2002TLs, C/L/R 2002 and BP1Xs! The sound is simply amazing, for both movies and music. I use them more for movies (and WOW, what a soundstage!), but have auditioned them with well produced CDs as well. Definitive speakers do NOT disappoint!

As others have mentioned, even my wife gets a kick out of the system (literally -- those 12" subs in the BP2002TLs KICK!). She only asked that we own a fair amount of Disney movies. These reference speakers even make BUGS sound great! I am now looking to potentially purchase a PF15TL+. After reading many reviews and testimonies, I have narrowed it down to the PF15TL+ and the Velodyne CT-150. Both get rave reviews, but I think I'm leaning towards Definitive Technology's PF15TL+. Many seem to think the Definitive offers more for less money, and less enclosure too. In fact, I'm going to my local Definitive dealer as soon as I can to see about ordering a PF15TL+! And I will vigorously recommend Definitives to anyone who will listen! Keep up the great work Definitive!

"The sound I was looking for and within my budget."

I was on a mission to upgrade my speakers. I had a specified budget but also wanted to get a "quality" speaker. I shopped around listening to several different brand speakers. I found out the sound I was looking for was way out of my budget.

Then I found a Definitive dealer in my area. I listen to several speakers and decided on the new BP2006TLs, the ProCenter C2, the ProMonitor 200s, and the ProSub 200TL. This was the sound I was looking for and within my budget, by a long shot. This system is absolutely remarkable. I am going to refer these speakers to all my clients, friends and family.

Thank you Definitive for helping me find my home theater speakers.

"What a difference!"

My wife and I decided to finally purchase a good stereo system (we are celebrating our 19th anniversary this month), so we purchased a pair of BP2004 speakers. The store representative took us into the speaker room and we listened to various pairs and then played the BP2004s. What a difference in sound and, I have to admit, it was a little more than I wanted to spend.

But the representative said a really important statement: "Your system is only as good as it sounds. Even if you have to save money and wait a little while, I would purchase the best speakers you are able to." Well there was no comparison. I bought them. What clarity and depth. I know these will last for years to come.

"You won't be sorry."

I auditioned everything with a Sony DA30 ES receiver and initially started out with a pair of BP6s and a PF-12 powered sub. I chose the BP6s over the BP8s to start out with because of the BP6s stunning midrange performance, and the PF-12 for the outstanding dynamic range of 12" subwoofers. Listening to music was a much more enjoyable experience then ever before, not to mention the added excitement with movies.

Then I added the C/L/R 2002 along with a set of BP2002TLs to replace the front speakers and put the BP6s and PF-12 in the rear for surrounds. I had been waiting for a while to upgrade my mains and purchase a center, and I could not ask for more. The staging is incredible, you feel like you are at a concert in parts of some movies. There is so much depth and warmth compared to many other speakers I have auditioned. I really enjoy the D'Appolito array and how it blends the high and mid-range frequencies into listening bliss. I've turned many of my friends on to the Definitive line of loudspeakers, and they are equally impressed.

I work for a mobile DJ company that uses top of the line Bose equipment, and Definitive was the only other line of speakers that produced the kind of sound I was searching for. For those of you who don't already own Definitive speakers or are looking to upgrade, I strongly urge you to make the change, you won't be sorry.

"The BP soundfield is so big and open with so much power, it is unbelievable."

I own a pair of the BP2000TLs and have owned them for about 4 months now. They are SO AWESOME. I owned a pair of Acoustic Research AR1s before, and they were nothing compared to the BPs. The BP soundfield is so big and open with so much power, it is unbelievable. DTS soundtracks are out of this world with these speakers. Thank you, Definitive.

I have had a Bose Acoustimass 15 for about a year and I decided to add two front speakers, so I bought a pair of BP2004TLs. I was so impressed with Definitive's speakers that my old system is now on eBay. I am buying one C/L/R2002 and 2 BPXs to replace my old system. Thanks Definitive, I really love my new system. It sounds great.

"These speakers amaze me every day."

SIMPLY AMAZING, ABSOLUTELY SCARY, TOTALLY AWESOME! I have been reading reviews on Definitive for years and was always impressed about how totally positive they were. I finally auditioned them a few years ago. I was totally blown away by how smooth, low, and spacious they sounded, even in a crappy store setup.

I purchased the BP2000TLs, a C/L/R2500 and a set of BPXs just over a year ago. The novelty has yet to even come close to wearing off. Every time I watch a movie or play tunes, it's like Day One. These speakers amaze me every day. The sweet spot is huge, no more rushing for the center seat in this house. From the very lows to the smooth highs they don't miss a beat. Anyone who has heard them is totally amazed, and a few friends have gone out and bought them.

I could go on and on, but the bottom line is these speakers are, without a doubt, the way to go. I highly recommend them to anyone. Either for home theater or music anyone should be totally satisfied with them.

"I love these speakers. What definition, what breadth, what speakers!"

OUTSTANDING! I recently bought a pair of the BP2006TLs and, if a person can love an inanimate object, I love these speakers. What definition, what breadth, what speakers! I own a few hundred CDs and, no matter what music style, the Definitives produce a warmth of sound that is unparalleled to competition in the same price range. When I tested various other speakers, none of them (which were priced significantly higher than the BP2006TLs) matched the spectacular sonic balance that the Definitives put out. I can't wait to add on to these speakers and create a fantastic surround sound system in the next few years — these will be the cornerstone of that system. You have a Definitive fan for life.

"But when it comes to total quality of sound, nothing beats Definitive."

The first Definitive Speakers I ever heard were a pair of BP2000s. The awesome clarity and the thundering bass really impressed me and opened up a vision of sound for me.

In the past, I have heard all common name brands like B&W JBL, Parasound, Audio Jamo and so many others that have impressed me in terms of quality of sound. But when it comes to total quality of sound, nothing beats Definitive.

Right now I am using a pair of
BP10s as fronts, a ProCenterC2 as center, a BPX as the surround, and most importantly a PF18TL as a sub. Both in music and in movies, these speakers present an outstanding combination of high quality sound and really shake the room with the monstrous but tight bass of the PF18. As far as hi-fi sound is concerned, Definitive speakers are perfection in clarity. Since owning my Definitives, I have arranged numerous speaker systems of this brand for all my friends' home theaters. All of them are thrilled with the sound. Kudos to the makers of such excellent speakers.

"Monstrous bass!"

I recently purchased a pair of Definitive BP2004TLs and have never heard sound like this in my whole life! I have gone through many systems and speakers throughout my life, but nothing can beat the Definitive way. You get the clearest sound and surround texture due to the bipolar design. I can hear monstrous bass which I never knew was possible. I can recommend any Definitive speaker, especially in the bipolar series... You just can't beat 'em.

"I have never heard this kind of clarity from speakers in this price range."

I just purchased a pair of BP2006TLs and a C/L/R2300 center channel. After listening to many speakers, including models from B&W and Klipsch, I decided that the Definitive speakers have the most punch and the cleanest sound. Adding an onboard amplifier is a great idea. It frees the receiver from having to power it and allows all the power to go to the mids and tweets. I have never heard this kind of clarity from speakers in this price range, and as for bass, boy, WATCH OUT! These babies are real killers. I really enjoy watching movies with 5.1 encoded sound. The Definitives reproduce this sound the way the director intended it. Right now, I only have the front three speakers, and they blow away systems consisting of all six. As soon as I can afford it, I am going to purchase a pair of BP2002TLs for my front speakers, move the BP2006TLs to the back, and supplement the bottom octave with a PF15+. I can't think of any system even remotely close in price giving this DREAM system of mine ANY competition! Thank You Definitive! You have earned a customer for LIFE.

"Thank you for making such a wonderful and affordable product."

I'd like to thank you for making such a wonderful and affordable product. I have BP2002TLs, C/L/R2000, and 2 BPX surrounds. What a blast! I can't help but smile when I fire up a great CD or DVD. I have natural sounding music throughout the audible range and absolutely magnificent imaging. If you pass along such advice to customers or dealers I suggest running CAT 5e 10/100 Ethernet cable for the speaker wire. My 2 friends and I noticed an incredible improvement in the sound over the much more expensive Kimber cable I used to run. It's pure, designed to carry a more sensitive digital signal, and very inexpensive. Use one run (all 4 twisted pairs) for + and one more for -. Cap it off with some crimp-on banana plugs and you're good to go! I really noticed a difference in the output of the speakers in the high end. I'd never have believed it if I hadn't heard it myself. Anyhow, keep up the good work.

"I am glad I finally found a speaker that I am happy with."

Well, all I can say about my BP10s or the BP2000s is this: "I will more than likely never purchase another speaker, EVER. PERIOD." Wait, that's not entirely true, I'll probably purchase the BP3000s. "You're getting double the drivers and a built-in powered subwoofer for what is a very fair price."

This is my third day with my Definitive Technology loudspeakers (BP2002TLs, C/L/R 2500, and BPX surrounds) and I was just in the kitchen when I heard a picture fall off the wall and shatter. Worried, I ran back into the den and looked around. There was nothing except a movie on. Definitive Technology strikes again!

I've saved four years for these speakers, and I have to say I listened to all kinds of home theater speakers from electrostatics to magneplanars and NOTHING approaches the holographic sound of Definitives. Dialogue, bass, surround effects — it doesn't matter — everything comes alive just a bit more with Definitive Technology than with any other speaker; some costing a lot more. I didn't want to like these. I thought they were over-hyped. Happily, I was wrong. They are magnificent and I have no buyer's remorse.

May I also say that the C/L/R 2500 is the single best center speaker available today. The built-in sub makes such a difference, and every bit of dialogue from whispers to shouts sound natural, deep-voiced men are notably well reproduced. This powerful speaker, when matched with the Bipolar Towers, is simply sublime. The BPXs are similarly wonderful. Definitive recommended I run these as large and WOW! Bass in the surround channel is eye-opening.

If the BP2002TLs seem expensive, keep in mind you're getting double the drivers and a built-in powered subwoofer for what is a very fair price. The build quality is outstanding. While they are slim and elegant they are also deceptively well-built. Materials are first-class and Definitive Technology technical support is outstanding. My emails were answered within hours (sometimes minutes) of writing.

Thank you for a wonderful speaker that lets my DVD collection come alive in my home theater like no other speaker I have ever auditioned, and I auditioned over 50!

"When I hooked them up [and] turned them on, my jaw hit the floor."

I recently purchased a pair of BP2006TLs and all I can say is they're amazing. I have heard a lot of speakers in the past, and none of them come close to the BP2006TLs in performance and price. When I hooked them up to my Denon AVR3801 and turned them on, my jaw hit the floor. I could not believe such full sound that was crystal clear with bass that shook my couch. I previously had a pair of Klipsh Fortes and the BP2006TLs smoke them, hands down. Thank you Definitive! You have a customer for life.

"I had to nail all my pictures on shelves."

I love my BP2006, ProMonitor200, ProCenter, and PF15TL+ speakers. The clarity is superb compared to what I have heard, but I had to nail all my pictures on shelves to keep them from falling. I broke a picture frame in the process — is that covered in the 5 year warranty? (Just kidding). "Their value and build quality makes them worth every penny."

I am a sales associate for Ultimate Electronics, and I am surrounded by some of the best loudspeakers on the market; from makers such as Boston Acoustics, Infinity, Klipsch, and of course Martin Logan. Out of all those makers, Definitive stands out as the king of home theater.

I push loudspeakers to the edge when I demonstrate them for clients. Everyone falls in love with the sound of Definitive. With their elegantly styled enclosure, they make any home theater a standout work of art. Definitive's overall quality and sound is unmatched in the world of loudspeakers. I have personally seen them outperform their more expensive rivals dozens upon dozens of times. I have pushed Definitive speakers as far as I could with no edge in site. Stylish, graceful, elegant, and superb are usually the first words I hear when someone takes a look at Definitive speakers for the first time. When people hear them for the first time they are blown away by the sound.

I have been a happy owner of a pair of BP2004TLs for two years now, and all I will ever own will be Definitive. Their overall sound and style make them the greatest loudspeaker the world has ever seen. Their value and build quality makes them worth every penny.

"The BP2000TLs are the best value in today's speaker marketplace."

I have been living with my BP2000TLs for several months now and feel I can evaluate them in an accurate way. I am a musician and have my own recording studio. Not only do I enjoy listening to and performing music, I produce CDs and other recorded media. The BP2000TL, is indeed, one of the most accurate speaker systems I have come across. There is certainly a WOW factor to these sweethearts. I use them daily in production work and they absolutely confirm how many great recordings I have produced.

I am getting a bit older now and have been an audiophile since the late '50s and '60s. I remember back to the old AR-3 being pretty state of the art for that time period. Speaker technology has improved dramatically since those days, and the BP2000TLs prove that! Can you get better performing speakers? Most likely, but at what cost and what improvement? The BP2000TLs are the best value in today's speaker marketplace. I hope this info will help you make your decisions.

"I am 100% convinced that this system is one of the best price vs. value systems available."

Three months ago, I purchased my third home theater speaker system. I have the BP2000TLs for my mains, a C/L/R3000 for center and BP2004TLs for my rear. They are perfect for my 50/50 music/home theater preference. The lows are much tighter than I expected and there is no harshness at all in mids and highs. The support from Definitive Technology on set-up advice is outstanding as well. I am 100% convinced that this system is one of the best price vs. value systems available.

"The first track wasn't even finished yet and my skeptical wife lip-synched: 'WE-ARE-GETTING-THESE-TONIGHT!'"

I'm the guy who could often be spotted dragging the "latest & greatest" speakers out of high-end stores. My father began to laugh at how much I was paying, as well as how often. "You're never going to be satisfied," he would quip (yet he loved the great hand-me-down bargains I gave him while "upgrading").

I then decided to audition the BP2000s, C/L/R 3000 and BPX speakers with my wife (who sides 100% with my Dad, unfortunately). Our salesman popped in Glen Miller's "In the Mood." The BP2000s played like no other speaker we've listened to! The first track wasn't even finished yet and my skeptical wife, trying to compete with the volume, lip-synched while pointing at the BP2000TLs: "WE-ARE-GETTING-THESE-TONIGHT!"

Three years and counting, I still proudly own these amazing speakers built by Definitive with ZERO desire to shop for anything else. My father now wishes I would return to upgrading. Sorry Dad, these speakers are staying!

"She wanted them right then and there."

A little more than six months ago I purchased a pair of BP2006TLs and a C/L/R 2500 center for my theater front stage. All I can say is WOW! What a well-engineered loudspeaker. These Definitives have such a presence, and such reality, that I would honestly say they are the best theater speakers on the market today. What really sold me was the fact that I was dragging my poor wife all over town making her listen to all different types of speaker systems. She would always say, "I can't tell the difference." That was, of course, before we listened to the BP2006TL speakers in a local store. She immediately told me after the demo that those speakers are the only ones that actually sounded good to her; she wanted them right then and there. So if you are in the market for some new theater or 2-channel speakers, give these guys a listen, and they will most likely end up in your living room. Thanks.

"If you haven't heard them, go audition them."

For three years I waited patiently to buy my latest system, which consists of BP2004TLs, C/L/R 2300 and BPX for surrounds. The experience of listening to these speakers is a completely immersive music/movie experience. These speakers completely suspend any disbelief that you are listening to prerecorded music. I have zero tonal adjustments in my setup — they are not required with these speakers. The internal crossovers are wonderfully balancing all formats I play through. It was absolutely worth the wait — do not substitute these speakers with anything else you find in the music store. Go buy them now, and if you haven't heard them, go audition them. I had my speakers delivered 400km and, with Definitive's excellent authorized dealers, I am secure that if anything should happen to them I would receive Customer Service of the same high quality that is standard for Definitive speakers. Thank you so much for such a fine product.

"Definitive Technology offers the best sound/performance for the dollar."

I bought my first pair of BP2000s back in 1997 and have since added three more BP2000s (two for left and right surround and one for back surround) and a C/L/R 3000 for the center. I also own four Powerfield 1500s to handle LFE duty. They are being powered by a Denon AVR 3802 receiver/Sony progressive output DVD/Pioneer Laser Disc/JVC Super VHS, and I control my four Powerfield 1500s with a Parasound stereo preamp. All cable and wire is Monster Cable.

I can't tell you how happy I am with this setup and how much pleasure my Definitives bring me on a daily basis. I keep the main pair of BP2000s toed in and get a beautiful sound stage and solid imaging; dialogue is plastered to the screen even when I choose to keep my center speaker off.

The back pair of BP2000s are to the left and right rear of the listening position (also toed in), and the last BP2000 is directly behind the listening position. The four Powerfield 1500s are in the front right of the room and stacked two on top of two facing the left wall. I will soon be adding four Powerfield 1500TL+s to the left side of the room to smooth out and complete the LFE channel. Also down the road I shall be adding a pair of Definitive Technology BPVX/Ps to the side walls since my Denon receiver can switch between back- and side-surrounds depending on what you're watching.

I love my Definitives. I recommend them to all my friends and whoever asks me about stereo or home theater speakers. Definitive Technology offers the best sound/performance for the dollar.

"Sometimes you CAN have your cake and eat it too!"

My system consists of BP2006TLs, a C/L/R 2002, and BP2Xs. I auditioned several systems and had narrowed my choices down to Definitive and one other. When you take all the specs into consideration, everything being equal - your audible perception is the final deciding factor. This system is amazing. The 8" subs pack plenty of punch for home theater, and the mids and tweets are fluid. After the recommended break-in period, the whole loudspeaker seemed to work more in union and produced a smoother and more diffuse soundstage that was very addicting. The only thing that would make this system better would be a little lower bass. That's why I am trading my beloved BP2006TLs for the BP2004TLs in the near future. Sometimes you CAN have your cake and eat it too! Thanks Definitive for producing a great product and easing my mind on the whole dipole vs. bipole speaker debate for surrounds. The system really works well together.

"Being able to run all the speakers as 'large' on my receiver really opened up the sound stage."

I recently bought a new Definitive Technology system consisting of BP30s for fronts, C/L/R 2500, BP2006TL as sides, and two BPXs for rear center. I upgraded from an older Atlantic Technology System 350. What a difference. The Definitives were so much clearer and fuller sounding. Being able to run all the speakers as large on my receiver really opened up the sound stage. DVD audio sounds great. Anyways, great product and keep up the good work!

"They really kick ass!"

I've had a set of BP2002 powered towers and a C/L/R 2002 center channel for about five years now and I'm still blown away at the sound they deliver! I looked around for a long time for a set of speakers that had excellent bass and crisp highs. Well, the search was over when I heard the BP2002s. I understand that Definitive Technology has doubled the power in the new BP2002TLs. I gotta tell you that mine have enough power to rattle the pictures off the walls! They really kick ass! I don't see myself buying any new speakers for a long, long time — perhaps never again, they are that good!

"As Emeril would put it, 'BAM! POW!'"

I purchased the BP2006TL towers, the C/L/R 2300 center channel and the ProSub 200TL. For the time being, I'm using my old Bose 301s for the rear, however, I plan to purchase Definitive Technology surround speakers in the future. As Emeril Lagasse would put it, "BAM! POW!" If you want to fire for effect, this is it.

After spending many hours on reviews and several trips to many different stereo stores, these were the speakers for me. I would encourage anyone to purchase this product line. The built-in powered subs in the 2006s are plenty powerful. However, if you want that THUMP, I mean if you really want your neighbors to hate you, I'd get either the 12- or, even better, the 15-inch powered sub.

"Even the retailer where I bought the speakers was envious of my system!"

I have been running four BP2000 towers in my home theater. Two at the front and two at the back. For my center channel, I use the Definitive C/L/R 2000. This entire setup of speakers is run by a modest Dolby Digital amplifier. In the three plus years that I have been running this system, every person that has been through the house comments that they have never heard anything like what they hear in my theater room. Even the retailer where I bought the speakers was envious of my system! In short, to me, speakers are the most critical part of any system and everyone leaves my house agreeing with this philosophy.

"Fasten down furniture and small pets! These speakers are knock-down drag out champs!"

I have the BP2002s, backed by the BP2Xs mounted on the rear wall. I will soon add the C/L/R 2500 center. I can honestly say I am hard pressed to find better quality sounding speakers. These speakers have actually allowed me to hear things (in music especially) that I could not pick up with other speakers. They are absolutely crisp, sharp, and strong! Fasten down furniture and small pets! These speakers are knock-down drag-out champs! Don't pay for the phony junk out there. I have NEVER heard a bad word about these speakers from anyone! All the pros I've talked to, hands down admitted that there really might not be anything out there that could beat them. These are lifetime keepers... but I will need a little something for the bedroom... hmmmmmm?

"Simply delicious!"

Only one year after purchasing a ProTower 400 system and being envied by everyone who came over to watch movies, I've built a new home (aka Definitive shrine). Three pairs of UIW55s for my main floor rooms (office and bedrooms), BP2006TLs up front in the theater room with C2 center, a pair of UIWBPZ/A side surrounds mounted in the ceiling, and a pair of BP1.2X for back surround duty. Simply delicious!

Thanks to Chet in customer service for pinpointing the mounting location of the BPZ/As. They are sweet! As soon as my wife heard the BP2006s she asked me to sell her Acoustic Energys so she could have a pair too! Gotta luv it.

"They are amazing!"

I just upgraded my home cinema system. I changed my two front speakers to the BP2006TLs. They are amazing! They are slim, elegant, and powerful. Whether they're being used for cinema or just music, they sound so clear. I watched the movie GLADIATOR just to check them out. The whole barbarian army was in my living room! There are just no words to describe it. When I watched SAVING PRIVATE RYAN, the tanks almost broke the windows! It made me duck for cover. Thank you Definitive Technology for making my home into a full theater.

"The sound quality, details, and bass are awesome."

I purchased the BP2002 loudspeakers in 1997 and used them initially with a Technics receiver. They sounded incredible! I then added a Rotel processor and Kinergetics/Chiro amp and added some other components, such as high quality cables and speaker wires. These are the best speakers that I looked at on the market, and have ever listened to! The sound quality, details, and bass are awesome. BUY A PAIR. If you are in the market and wonder if you should buy a good amp and separate components, or great speakers, I suggest you get the speakers first. They make the most dramatic difference in your system. All the other components will eventually complete your system. Don't ignore good cables. That would be like having a Corvette with a six-cylinder motor.

"I was really impressed by the clarity of these speakers."

I first purchased a set of ProMonitor 80s. I was really impressed by the clarity of these speakers. Before I knew it, I was on my way to the store for more. I currently own a set of BP2002TLs and a powered C/L/R 2500 center channel. I then realized I needed a bigger place for my system, so I bought a house.

"I love your amazing speakers."

I love your amazing speakers. They have a great and awesome sound. It brought tears to my eyes when I listened to the BP2000TLs playing a recording of a boy-choir, "Solvguttene," from Oslo, Norway, on the great CD "Rites" (Jan Garbarek). I would like to say thank you for great job.

"I could not get over the clarity, crispness, and presence... I actually had to turn down the sound, a first for me!"

I purchased 4 BP2006TLs and the C/L/R 2500. My room is 15' x 13' with an 8' ceiling and the sound from this system is extraordinary. I had a satellite system for about five years and could never get the tight and controlled bass I wanted, no matter how hard I tried. I tried all the tricks. I'd been reading about the DefTechs for years and decided to audition them. After listening to them for about 5 minutes, I was sold.

I could not get over the clarity, crispness, and presence of the center channel. We were viewing the Phantom Menace and the dialogue was astounding, along with all the mayhem coming through the other channels. The bass had such authority that I asked the manager to prove that all the bass was indeed coming only from the towers.

After a break-in period of about a month I started to hear these speakers really open up. The center channel sounds crisper each day and the bass is becoming much tighter. I had never seen DESPERADO ("Superbit"), and I was really not prepared to hear what I heard coming from these speakers: Bullets whizzing! Glass breaking and flying all over the place! I actually had to turn down the sound, which is a first for me! I've never heard such realism. Next up was GLADIATOR. I almost had to duck when I heard the arrows coming from behind me. The opening scene in SAVING PRIVATE RYAN has always been an emotional one for me, but with the DefTech towers the impact was staggering. It is very difficult to describe, you must experience this to believe it. MOULIN ROUGE was up next, and I thought I would wear the disc and my DVD player out replaying so many scenes. This DVD was meant for home theater and the DefTech did not disappoint! WOW!

I then decided to spend a day playing just music, and that was also a thrilling experience. Everything from jazz to classical was a joy to hear on these speakers. Whether it was 5-channel or 2, it was a revelation. On more than one occasion, while playing 2-channel stereo, I had to put my ear to the center channel to be sure it was not playing, that's how good the tonal and timbre matching is on the BP2006TLs. Artists, be they movie directors or musicians, strive to tell their story as honestly as they can, and the BP2006TLs and C/L/R 2500 allow them the ability to do this in a grand manner.

Great job Def Tech!

"Then she said, 'I want those!' She immediately took out HER checkbook and bought the speakers on the spot."

A few months ago, I took my fiancé to a local Def Tech dealer in an effort to convince her that the $1600 price tag for the BP2004TLs was a bargain. Much to my chagrin the dealer did not have the 2004s to audition. However, I convinced her to give the BP2002TLs a listen.

As Patricia Barber sang "What A Shame," from her "Cafe Blue" album, both my fiancé and I melted into our seats. We both looked at each other in amazement. The sound and imaging were fantastic.

Then she said, "I want those!" She immediately took out HER checkbook and bought the speakers on the spot. One great woman, and a great pair of speakers!

"Clarity, bass response, you name it. Def Techs all the way!"

I auditioned many speaker systems. My choice came down to the Definitive Technology BP2006TLs and a set of speakers with a very reputable British brand name. Oh, by the way, the British speakers cost a tad over twice the price of the 2006s. In a final side-by-side audition, the BP2006s blew the Brits away. Clarity, bass response, you name it. Def Techs all the way!

"Highly recommended."

I remember being in grade school and going to the local audio and video shop and wanting so bad to buy the cool stuff in the window. The owner would let me play with all the gear and over the years I have heard many speakers and other audio gear. I remember saving to buy my first set of speakers, then buying another, and so on.

Well, I am older and able to buy whatever gear I wish. I stopped by my local dealer and heard the BP3000TLs. They were amazing, so I bought them. Hearing the BP3000TLs gave me the feeling of looking into that window again for the first time. They are that good. Highly recommended.

"Thank you for manufacturing such a fine product!"

Well Definitive, I've finally done it!! As I wrote to you several years ago (see my original rave), I was salivating for the new flagship BP3000TLs. Although I bought the BP3000TLs and CLR3000 last month, it's taken me this long to write to you because I can't seem to get over the fact that this incredible system is all mine! When those BP3000TLs get to work along with my BPXs and 18" sub, I think I have passed into audiophile heaven each time I crank the system up. Thank you for manufacturing such a fine product! I couldn't ask you for anything more.

"My friends all have... speaker envy!"

I purchased my speakers a few days ago. For the front I am using BP2002TLs, a C/L/R 2500 for the center, and BP2004TLs for the rears with the advice from Definitive Technology's sales staff. I have the LFE hooked up to both front and rears to maximize and utilize the full potential of my speakers.

The sound and bass that comes from these speakers are amazing. My friends all have Bose systems and say they get all the bass they need, until they come to my house! Now they have speaker envy! When an explosion happens in the movie, you feel it and it sounds like it happened right in front of you. My wife even noticed the difference! I don't have a $100,000 home theater system, but it sounds like one!

Thank you, Definitive Technology, I look forward to your advancements in the industry!

"The sound is as alive, smooth and as true as the creator of the program material intended."

Kudos are in order for Definitive Technology for two distinct but integral areas.

Though not surprising, the first area of recognition related to the performance, quality and look of Definitive Technology's speaker. As an owner of a pair of BP2002TL Bipolar Tower Speakers with built-in powered subwoofer, a C/L/R2002 Center Channel Speaker and a pair of BPX Bipolar Surround Speakers, [I can tell you that] the sound is as alive, smooth and as true as the creator of the program material intended. Whether cinema, music or television is the material of choice, all content exhibits superior clarity, depth and warmth. Finally the look and feel of the speakers is state-of-the-art and complements my home theater room, which is a composite of oriental and modern. The speakers blend into the environment seamlessly.

The second area of acclaim, which is much harder to find in today's transient and cost-conscious America, is Definitive Technology's dedication to supreme customer service. The level of customer assistance, whether to answer questions or provide replacement parts, was the highest I have found for any company, domestic or international. Answers to questions were real-time and extremely helpful, replacement parts were provided without question, and the personnel were friendly, available and just plain nice.

In particular, I would like to praise Mr. Chet Pelkowski for his all his extremely helpful assistance in matters that would have made others irritated and confused. As a former executive for several major multinational corporations in the consumer electronics, medical device and construction industries it is refreshing to find a company that is dedicated to, and demonstrates, the highest level of customer service.

"In my opinion DT is the best home-theater speaker for the money."

Well, I'm a huge fan of Definitive Technology for life now. My system consists of two BP2006TLs for front speakers, a C/L/R 2002 center, and a BP1.2X rear. In my theater room of 15x19, they are UN-BELIEVEABLE-SOUNDING. My neighbors even ask about my speakers because they can feel the bass next door!

Before a friend of mine opened my eyes to your amazing speakers, I was a firm believer in Polk Audio and owned two Polk systems. Then my friend told me that Polk Audio was not even close to Definitive's sound. I was at first mad, but after one demonstration — that's all it took. I had to have a set of Definitives!

I'm married, and as some of you've heard from your wives: "I can't tell the difference between the systems we audition." I took her with me to audition some DT systems and immediately she said: "Now THAT, I can tell a difference!" As we stood there in awe, it was not hard at all to convince her to let me get a set of DT and sell the Polk system.

I've since then auditioned other "high end" speakers including Paradigm, B&W and Atlantic Technology just to name a few, and in my opinion DT is the best home-theater speaker for the money, period! Thank you Sandy Gross for an AWESOME SPEAKER! You have a LIFETIME CUSTOMER!

"The right speakers make all the difference for home theater and music lovers."

After I purchased my BP2004TLs, I had a friend come by to check them out. The sound separation or imaging on 2 channel audio was so good, my buddy thought my center channel (The ProCenter C2) was playing as well. He actually had to get out of "the sweet spot" and check for himself. Since picking up my Definitive loudspeakers, I love showing people how the right speakers make all the difference for home theater and music lovers.

"Awesome to say the least!"

Raves, Raves, Raves. I have a great Definitive Technology sound system in my large home theater and it is awesome to say the least. It was well worth waiting for. Watching DVD movies, HDTV or [listening to] DVD-Audio music is spectacular.

My cousin is a sound engineer for CBS and traveled with the Jackson Five, as well as the Lillian Tomlin tour. He also handles the sound systems for many TV programs. He was blown apart listening to sound on my Definitive Technology speaker system compared to recordings where he personally was there during live performances. He almost had tears in his eyes listening to the same songs.

The new "Queen" release is an excellent demo. My system consists of BP3000TLs as my mains, a C/L/R3000 center speaker, BPVX side surrounds and BPVX/P rear surrounds. (I hear so much rear bass that I never knew was there!) My projection system is the Sony VPH 1292Q with high definition 9" CRTs. The television screen is 110" Stewart. My only problem is my C/L/R 3000 sits on the floor and I need something to raise it to the bottom of the screen. Can you recommend anything? It is heavy! Keep up the good work and the ads. Get more reviews in magazines on BP3000TLs and BPVX/Ps. Best regards,

"Every serious listener of hi-end music should/must have a pair of BP3000TLs as an obligation!"

Dear Definitive Technology,

A few months ago I wrote something about the BP2000s... I thought that it was impossible to "beat" the sound and ambience of these excellent speakers. Until yesterday, when I bought the BP3000TLs.

The BP3000TLs sound "FUNtastic." They create a "painting" of every kind of musical instrument. I'm using the BP3000TLs with an Italian amplifier, the AudioAnalogue "Maestro," a Transrotor JR turntable and SACD777 from Sony.

I think every serious listener of hi-end music should/must have a pair of BP3000TLs as an obligation!

Thank you for your fantastic Christmas present, I am now in hi-fi heaven. Thank you very, very much one more time: Your absolutely satisfied and loyal customer from Czech Republic.

"Music sounds so much better."

I purchased four Definitive Technology BP2006TL speakers (two for front, and two for the rears), and one C/L/R 2300 for the center, along with a Marantz 7200 receiver. The system sounds great! Music sounds so much better. It fills the house. It helps make a stressful day much more relaxing. I'd highly recommend these speakers.

“What sets Definitive Technology apart from the crowd of loudspeaker manufacturers — other than their first-rate product at affordable prices — is their first-rate service.”

What a great company! It is so rare today to find a business that will go the extra distance. Definitive Technology is one of them.

I was going to tell the story of how I began with a ProMonitor 100 system — and how pleased I was — and how I gradually incorporated a CLR 2300 and some BP2004s and BP2006s... but I thought, you know what, if anyone wants to know how good these speakers are, all they have to do is listen. Besides, there are plenty of rave reviews on-line and in various home theater magazines written by authors more qualified than myself to steer folks in the right direction.

What sets Definitive Technology apart from the crowd of loudspeaker manufacturers — other than their first-rate product at affordable prices — is their first-rate service. It's all about the details. I emailed the company regarding some replacement spikes for two of my speakers. Not only did they have them for me, but they mailed them out to me the next business day free-of-charge. So many businesses these days are there for you before you make the purchase, but there aren't too many that stick around to help after the sale has been made.

Strong work, Definitive Technology! I don't know what the future may bring, but I know what speakers I'll be listening to! Keep up the good work!

“Breath-taking!”

Sitting at my desk most days of the week while at work, I day dream about what I would rather be doing... Which is sitting in my home theater watching the latest high def DVD’s I've been collecting. I’ve been a Home Theater addict for over 25 years now. I have had a number of systems and configured quite a few for friends. When folks ask about a suggestion for speakers I always invite them over to hear my system. The remarks are usually, just amazing, incredible, WOW!

I have owned a set of Def Tech's in my 5.1 channel home theater for almost a decade. I have a pair of BP2002TLs up front with a Center and the rears are BPV. Even thought they are almost a decade old, they sound so smooth and accurate it's almost breath-taking. When watching movies the sub's kick in with fierce power when the LFE is engaged, and subtly disappear in others when quiet dialogue is required... The bipolar design is really exceptional at radiating sound around the room. I just can't believe the realism they create. The center is accurate, dialogue is clear and you don’t ever wonder "what did that actor just say?"

I continue to listen to other systems to see what, if anything, I’m missing. I have never heard anything that comes close [to my Definitives]. I just marvel at the sound my decade old system produces. Now I recently upgraded to Blu-Ray and added sound deadening materials to enrich the sound of the room. I must say, I’m not trading this system for anything.

Thanks for an excellent system! You have made a life long listener out of me!

“They are truly the best sounding speakers I have heard”

I have been in the market for a home theater speaker system for the last two years and have listened to hundreds of speakers from many different manufacturers. I was immediately impressed with the BP2006TL speaker package, so I purchased them on the spot. In terms of price, size, and performance, these speakers are everything that I was looking for. They are truly the best sounding speakers I have heard. They made me upgrade the rest of my home theater system to a 7.1 system. The bass, imaging, and clarity are just amazing. I will never by another brand of speakers again. Thanks.

“My sales rep had me listen to a pair of BP2004TLs & I was blown away.”

Never have I heard my system come alive as it has since I got my new Definitive speakers.

A few years ago I had a 2-Channel system that had a MacIntosh amp & pre-amp to complement a pair of KEF 105.2s. I thought that was a system that couldn't be beat. My wife and I decided to build our dream home and put together a theater room. Some construction overruns later, I settled on getting a SONY ES 5.1 receiver that has turned out to be a great choice and investment. Problem was, cash was a little tight so I went conservative on the speaker system knowing that one day I'd upgrade it. I auditioned a few systems and landed on the Klipsch Quintet. Though the 5.1 experience was stunning, I knew I had to do some tinkering when the cash outlook improved. For an audiophile novice, this would be a more than adequate speaker system.

But for me, the KSW-10 sub & the SC-.5 center just wasn't making it. Not to mention that when listening to music in 2-Channel, the front satellites were woeful at best. I decided to upgrade the sub to a Klipsch KSW-12 and the center to a Klipsch SC-1. A huge improvement indeed. The 2-Channel performance was still pitiful so a few months down the road, I set out to do something about my front speakers. I went to audition some Klipsch bookshelf & tower speakers. I was truly disappointed, as my ears didn't take kindly to the horn setup. I listened to some Cantons, and didn't like them either.

Then my ears came alive. I auditioned the BP2006TLs and was wowed. To be outdone though, my sales rep had me listen to a pair of BP2004TLs and I was blown away. There was no question. I had never heard a room come alive with such a beautiful sound as this. The room filled with such a melodic tone, crispness, cleanliness and depth. I thought no tower could ever compare to the KEF's I once owned. How wrong I was. I listened to the ProCenter C2 and the C/L/R 2300. The C2 was excellent and clearly trashed the Klipsch SC-1 that I had and it outperformed, for me, the Reference center I compared it to at the store. But the C/L/R 2300 was awesome in comparison to the ProCenter C2 because of the built-in subwoofer.

So, the decision was made: the C/L/R 2300 was accompanying the BP2004TLs on the way home. I also decided to upgrade the rear surround speakers with a pair of ProMonitor 100s. These little speakers kicked butt against some of the Klipsch full bookshelfs; a lot of folks could use these as their main front channel speaker! Finally, I decided to take care of the sub too. I listened to a Sunfire, a Klipsch RSW-10, and the Definitive SuperCube I. They all had their moments to shine but with a super dealer special, I selected the RSW due to the price ($599) vs. the SuperCube I @ $1199 and the Sunfire @ $1399. (It's not to say that I just might trade up for the SuperCube I at some later point because it would complement the entire speaker system in terms of sound and appearance.)

So here is my system: SONY STRV333ES receiver, Definitive fronts: BP2004TL, Definitive center: C/L/R 2300, Definitive rears: ProMonitor 100s, Klipsch subwoofer: RSW-10, SONY 300-disc DVD changer DVP-CX870D, SONY MiniDisc player/recorder MDS-501, SONY 400-disc CD changer X 2 CDP-M555ES, Pioneer Elite CD Changer/Recorder PDR-W37, Toshiba 42-inch Cinema Series HDTV widescreen.

Thanks for the ingenuity and engineering with the speakers. Keep up the great work. This is the system I've waited a long time for. My friends are in awe and for the first time, my wife can even notice the difference. Now if I could only charge admission on the movies...

P.S.: SAVING PRIVATE RYAN (tanks and opening beach scene), THE MATRIX and JURASSIC PARK (take your pick which edition) are simply breathtaking!

“This system is not only accurate in reproducing music, but as a home theater surround system IT JUST KICKS BUTT!”

Well, I did it again! About eighteen months ago, I purchased a pair of Definitive BP2000TLs as studio monitors for my recording studio, and wrote a review of them on this site. I have been so impressed with these sweethearts that I decided to purchase another pair of them for my home theater system. I also treated myself with a C/L/R 3000 Center Speaker (WOW) and a pair of BPVXP Surrounds (WOW). This system is not only accurate in reproducing music (important to me), but as a home theater surround system, IT JUST KICKS BUTT! Movies come alive and you're in them! WHAT A BARGAIN! Now it's almost disappointing to go to a movie theater. If you are like me, you have already read the outstanding reviews of these speakers; and I agree with all of them! So, what are you waiting for? All my best to the guys at Definitive!

“What a surprise ... a match made in heaven!”

I've recently purchased the BP2004TLs. What a surprise in the bass department. After a few days breaking in, the soundstage got bigger and the vocals became more pronounced. I've recently changed my receiver to the Rotel RSX 1055. The BP2004TLs and RSX1055 are a match made in heaven! This system now sounds better (no matter what the source — TV, CD, or DVD.) The BP2004TLs are a highly recommended product. I have no regrets.

“I never in my life thought I'd be able to afford to appreciate sound like this.”

I've spent three months with my BP2002TLs and I am still amazed by them. I don't know how you managed to individualize the instruments in the band, but you did. Groups of singers are impressive too. "Leaving on a Jet Plane" by Peter, Paul and Mary, sounds so real. I treated myself to a PS Audio Amplifier and it, and my BP2002TLs, get along very well. It is nice for a consumer to be so satisfied with a product. I never in my life thought I'd be able to afford to appreciate sound like this.

“I have just purchased my first Definitive speakers ... They are more than incredible; they're AWESOME!”

I have just purchased my first Definitive speakers. I am using BP2004TLs for my fronts and BPXs for my rear surrounds. They are more than incredible, they're AWESOME! The BPXs sound better than my old towers, and the BP2004TLs built-in amplified subwoofers eliminate the need for my old unsightly separate subwoofer. I can tell my guests to "sit down, shut up and hold on!"

Thanks for making the perfect speaker.

“WOW! My Def Tech set-up [is] the best value on the market today regardless of price category.”

I started auditioning speakers about a year ago because I wanted to upgrade my Mirage sub/sat system. I had decided to spend $5000 for my 5.1 speaker system and started by reviewing M&K and B&W set-ups. Then while reviewing a Pioneer Elite TV I noticed the sound quality from the audio set-up in the test room as much as the picture quality. This was my first introduction to Def Tech speakers.

The BP2004, C/L/R 2300, BP2X set up was incredible and much to my surprise half of what I had budgeted. I immediately saved $2500 and acquired an equally, and in most cases superior, surround set-up. Additionally, I was a good boy this year and was treated with the SuperCube II which has added that extra dimension to my home theater experience.

WOW! As I audition speakers during my visits to various hi-fi stories I am still impressed with my Def Tech set-up, and feel they are over and above the best value on the market today regardless of price category.
